Ivotuk,
is a low arctic tundra site located between the Colville River and the Brooks Range near the East Fork of the Etivluk River. The camp sits just west of the Ivotuk Hills and Otuk Creek at an elevation of approximately 600 m. Ivotuk was once a drill site in the National Petroleum Reserve. It has an airstrip, a short gravel road to Otuk Creek, and a small compound with a cabin operated by the Bureau of Land Management. Due to funding shortages the SDSU/SRI monitoring station has been taken offline with the exception of iridium phone communications and limited internal and external monitoring sensors. At least one netcam image will be made available daily.
